Triggers
|
Data Triggers are a new addition to logiforms version 2.0. Using data triggers, you can add intelligence to your form processing and data management. Put simply, data triggers are events that are "triggered" when a form submission record is updated or newly inserted. The Data Trigger will take some action based on the value of the data. Triggers can fire off email reciepts, transfer records between logiforms tables, delete data, reschedule criteria based events to run at a later date and update the record with any new values.
A Trigger Example
In the example below we have a Quote Request form that is submitted by two distinct customers. The Sales Reps respond by logging into the Sub User accounts to process the form submission. Data Triggers are always based on form field values. In this example, a form field STATUS is compared based on how the customer interaction is handled, and the trigger does the rest.
