Excel Truncates the Last Digit of a Credit Card
Excel has a known issue when opening CSV file, it automatically determins the column type and in the case of columns with credit card numbers, it can truncate the trailing number. The steps to work around this are:
1. Export from logiforms to CSV format. 2. Open Excel, on the Data menu, choose Import External Data, then Import Data. Browse to the CSV file, and click Open. This brings up the Text Import Wizard. 3. In step 1, select Delimited. 4. In step 2, check Comma; this previews how the data will be separated. In step 3, you can select each column in turn and choose a format. 5. Choose Text for that credit card number field, and youâ??ll get all 16 (or however many) digits, not truncated to zero.
