Making Drop Down Menus Required
There are a couple of steps involved in making a drop down menu required. Generally, you'll set the first item in the drop down to "-- select --" or "Please make a selection". Here are the steps to make the user select something other than that default selection:
1. Setup the items to show in the drop down menu. The first item is your default selection. Take the first item and copy it into the DEFAULTVALUE field on the first tab of the field properties window.
2. Click the validation tab. On the validation screen, set the option "Must make a selection" to 'true'.
This will force the user to make selection other than than the default value.

"Auto responders are a very powerful part of the Logiforms system making it very easy to provide an immediate detailed response
to people who have completed one of my on line forms. I also use 'rules' to select the response I want to be issued, this ensures
that the autoresponders are more detailed and specific."
