Uploading Images & Showing Images in Email Notification & AutoResponders

You can add a file upload field to your form to upload images.
The resulting uploaded image can be accessed in a number of ways:

1. Via the submission Bin

You can log into your account and access the image via the submission bin. You can export your data and all of the attachments from your form will be downloaded in a zip file.

2. Add a link to the image in your notification email

If you are using a notification profile to receive email notification of the form submission, you can embed a link to the image in your email. In order to link to the image you need to do the following steps:

a) Upload a test image

b) Go to the submission bin, and click on the image link (the newly uploaded imaged or any image in your submission bin)

c) Right click on the image, and select 'Properties'

d) A new window will open with the image properties. Cut & Paste the path to the image. It should look something like http://www.logiforms.com/formdata/345234/234123/attachments/. Make sure to remove the name of the image from the end of the path.

e) Next, create a notification profile. Enter a recipients name, return address and profile name and click next.

f) On the next screen, you can create the notification email body. You can link to the image by including the path we just grabbed and the name of the field on your form that contains the image. Paste the contents of your clipboard into the body of the notification email. You should see something like this:

http://www.logiforms.com/formdata/345234/234123/attachments/

Next, add the name of your field in the wildcard format to the end of that URL. If your field name was 'image' you would do this:

http://www.logiforms.com/formdata/345234/234123/attachments/[image]

When the form is submitted, the [image] variable will be replaced with the name of the uploaded file and you will be able to link directly to it.

2. Embed the image in an HTML notification profile

If you want the image to appear in the email, you need to send an HTML notification email. Follow the steps in 2 (above) up until e, then toggle to the HTML mode.

a) Once you are looking at the HTML editor for your notification profile, you can select the image insert button. Enter the SRC of the image as http://www.logiforms.com/formdata/345234/234123/attachments/[image], where [image] is the name of the upload field on your form. The image will show up as a broken icon in the preview. When you submit the form the [image] variable will be replaced with the name of the uploaded file and you will be able to see the image if your email client supports HTML formatted emails.

HINT: you can use the same procedure with the autoresponder profile.
